I've uploaded my commentary on T-3.III (CE), "Atonement without Sacrifice." The commentary contains a long Appendix about how the interpretation of sacrificial Atonement originated, including two long excerpts related to the topic from Ken Wi;ber's recent book, Finding Radical Wholeness. We'll study this material in the Fall, 2024.
I have posted two new commentaries, dealing with the first two sections of Chapter 3 in the CE. Section I is "The Need to Study." Section II is "Special Principles for Miracle Workers," which was part of the last section of Chapter 2 in the FIP edition.
"The Need to Study" contains material that was omitted from the FIP, tragically so, because in it Jesus emphasizes that understanding the first two chapters of the Text is crucial to being able to understand what follows. He recommends setting aside specific study periods for reviewing those two chapters. I think all Course students should take heed. I have posted my commentary on CE T-2.XIII, "The Real Meaning of the Last Judgment." We will study this commentary next September (2024). Feel free to read it over the summer, if you wish. I have had a number of reports of inability to access my site due to security errors. I have tried many things to fix the problem. Most people found that one web browser or another would work, while others failed. But nothing solved the problem for everyone.
After exhausting my own troubleshooting options, I reached out to the support team at my web hosting company, Weebly/SquareSpace. While they couldn't pinpoint a specific issue, they suggested that my 'custom theme' might be the culprit. In their professional advice, they recommended switching to one of their standard themes, which I promptly did. I'm not entirely happy with the results. The type sizes on my Workbook commentary pages, for instance, are out of whack, although still readable. Since fixing that problem may entail editing each of the hundreds of pages individually, I don't know that I will be able to solve that issue any time soon. My apologies. If you see any problems that you think need to be solved ASAP, please let me know: [email protected] I've been remiss in updating this blog! In the meanwhile, I have posted new commentaries on the Circle of Atonement's Complete and Annotated Edition (CE) on my Text Commentaries page (link in sidebar). These new commentaries, as of today, cover the CE up through Chapter 2, Section X, "The Real Power of the Mind."
Notes for Principles up to #46 Posted. Also, booklet added to "Other acim articles" section.1/8/2024 I've added commentary notes for the Miracle Principles up to #46. I have also posted (in the "Other ACIM Articles" section, link at bottom of sidebar) a copy of my 92-page booklet, "A Healed Mind Does Not Plan," which is out of print. Feel free to download. Donations appreciated!
i have begun a new page titled “Other ACIM Articles”. As time permits I will post copies of articles and booklets I have written in the past. The booklets will be PDF versions of my booklets that have gone out of print.
I am currently writing somewhat abbreviated commentary/notes on the first chapters of the Text of the Complete and Annotated Edition. Links will be interspersed with the Text links on the Text Commentaries page and clearly indicated.
The reason for the new notes is that this most recent edition of the Course has restored most of the material in Helen's notes that was omitted from earlier editions and the original order. The first seven chapters were the most heavily modified, and there is a lot of unfamiliar material. None of it changes the overall message of the Course, but it often clarifies and augments our understanding. |
