Today I posted the commentary on the Manual, Chapter 13, "What Is the Real Meaning of Sacrifice?"
As I mentioned recently in an email message, I have postponed running these commentaries through grammar checking software because I was having difficulty keeping up the pace week after week. So, if you notice typos or poor grammar, don't bother to tell me. It will get fixed later, and I'll post an update. I expect to cover this section after finishing Chapter 12 in our next Zoom meeting on May 3. While I have recorded the last two sessions of our Zoom meetings, I am having difficulty editing them. They have been broken into two or three segments each time, and I have been trying to use the iMovie application on my Mac to patch them together. I've never used the app before, and I'm having trouble figuring it out! (Much to my surprise.) So nothing is available for anyone to download.
The time I have for writing is limited by many things, and I cannot afford, right now, to take time away from writing to work on the recordings. I'm not sure when, if ever, that is going to happen. My apologies...Since my hard drive got wiped I have not been able to recreate the environment and procedures that were getting the recordings done previously. I've posted a commentary covering two chapters of the Manual, 9 and 10. The topics are:
9. Are Changes Required in the Life Situation of God's Teachers? 10. How Is Judgment Relinquished? Our next class on Tuesday, 04/05/2022, will be on Chapter 8, "How Can the Perception of Order of Difficulty in Miracles Be Avoided?" I've been delayed in my writing and posting commentaries. I have been without a Mac computer for the last ten days. Only 2 years old, the screen on my MacBook Air went totally dark, requiring a trip to the Apple store for diagnosis, shipping it out for repair, and a trip back to pick it up a week later. I won't detail all that has happened since; I'll just say I've had to restore everything from a backup (Always have up-to-date backups!) and reinstall the OS. So far I have not lost any files, but I've lost most of my customizations that make work quicker for me. I'm back in business, tweaking things as I go.
ALSO, I just uploaded an updated copy of the commentary on the Manual for Teachers, Chapter 5, Sections I and II. No actual change to content, I just applied the correct formatting to the paragraphs in Section II, Paragraph 5 comments. I've posted a new commentary on Chapter 8 of the Manual, "How Can the Perception of Orders of Difficulty in Healing Be Avoided?".
This coming Tuesday, March 1, 2022, we will resume our study via Zoom with Chapters 4 or 5 of the Manual. See the "Manual for Teachers" link on the website's menu bar on the lefthand side. I have posted commentaries on the Manual for Teachers, Chapter 5 Section III, Chapter 6 and Chapter 7.
Our Zoom study group will resume on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 10:00 AM to Noon, Pacific Time. I've posted a long commentary on Manual Chapter 5, "How Is Healing Accomplished?" It covers Sections I and II, "The Perceived Purpose of Sickness" and "The Shift in Perception." Section III, "The Function of the Teacher of God," is currently being worked on.
Delay of meetings: I am continuing the delay of our Zoom meetings until I finish this commentary plus Chapters 6 & 7 (both short). Being a caretaker/support person while my wife recuperates is still demanding a lot of my time, and recovery from shoulder surgery is slow (but steady). Things will probably be back to normal in a week or two, and by then I should be able to get ahead with writing and resume our meetings. I am still shooting for Feb. 15 or 22. I'll let you know as soon as I am certain. The third of three commentaries on Chapter 4 of the Manual for Teachers was uploaded today. The first two were uploaded earlier.
My weekly study group via Zoom is on extended hiatus while I catch up with writing while spending most of my time on other personal duties. I hope to resume in mid-February. I have uploaded a new commentary on M-4.I, "What Are the Characteristics of God's Teachers? (I.Trust)." You may download and print your own copies.
