I have uploaded or reformatted the first four commentaries on the Manual for Teachers: the Introduction and Chapters 1 to 3.
CHAPTER 31 is complete as of 6/26/21. My project of commenting on the Text, begun in January of 2005, is finally complete! Today I posted the last commentary in Chapter 31: Section IX, "Choose Once Again."
The commentary on the first half of the Text was based on the edition published by the Foundation for Inner Peace. Several people have asked if I will return to the start of the Text to write new commentary on the Complete and Annotated Edition of the Course from the Circle of Atonement, which has restored a vast amount of material from Helen Schucman's notes that was omitted from the previous editions, particularly in the first five chapters. I would like to do so. I do not know if time will permit. I'm 80 and would like to relax a bit and enjoy being retired! Check back here in a few months (say September, 2021) and I will have a better idea of what I will be doing. I'm asking the Holy Spirit for guidance in the matter. I've posted the commentary on T-31.VIII, "The Savior's Vision." This is the next-to-last section of the Text. I'm currently about one third of the way through writing commentary on Section IX, the final section. I'll be posting that in the next week or so.
When our group meets again on the first Tuesday in September, we will pick up with Section VI, "Recognizing the Spirit." The format of the meeting is not clear to me yet: In person? Zoom? Both? I'll be exploring the possibilities over the summer and will keep you posted. A Commentary On T-31.VII, "Focusing on the Good," Has Been Posted.
Next week, on Tuesday, May 11, 10 AM to noon, our Zoom group will be studying the end of T-31.IV and continuing on with Section V, "The Concept of the Self." It's my intention to end the meetings at the end of May. We will finish with this, the final chapter of the Text in September. The rest of the summer, until Labor Day, we will take a break. What follows is yet to be determined. I've posted a new commentary for T-31.VI, "Recognizing the Spirit."
Our next meeting is Tuesday, May 04, 10AM to noon, on Zoom. Use the old link or I will email a new one a day or two beforehand. We'll be studying of T-31.III, "The Sleeping Prisoner," and moving on to T-31.IV, "The Real Alternative." To receive email messages from me sign up via the ONLINE STUDY GROUP link in the sidebar. I've posted the commentary for T-31.V.9–17, "The Concept of the Self (Part 2)."
Our study for Tuesday, April 20 will finish T-13.I and go on to T-31.II, "The Passing of an Ancient Learning." You can find commentaries on these sections on the "ACIM Text Commentaries" page (link in the menu bar to the left). I've posted the commentary for T-31.V.1–8, "The Concept of the Self (Part 1)." This section will be completed in the next commentary.
Our study for Tuesday, April 13 will cover T-31.I, "The Simplicity oof Salvation," paragraphs 8 through 11. We'll briefly review the first 7 paragraphs. Most likely we will continue on to begin T-31.II, "The Passing of an Ancient Learning." You can find commentaries on these sections on the "ACIM Text Commentaries" page (link in the menu bar to the left). I've posted a new commentary on T-31.IV, "The Real Alternative." In addition, I posted a corrected version of T-31.II. Material was added on page 1 that affected the pagination of pages 1 to 4. Pages 5 onward are unchanged.
I just posted two new commentaries, T-31.II, "The Passing of an Ancient Dream," and T-31.III, "The Sleeping Prisoner." These will be for future study. Next Tuesday, 03/16/2021, we will study T-30.VII, "Forgiveness Is Always Justified," starting with paragraph 5. We may continue with the next section or perhaps take a look at the "What Is Forgiveness?" page from Part II of the Workbook.
